What information do we use, and why?

If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we use the details and message you choose to provide to answer your question, discuss a course or stay, and make arrangements you ask us to make. We do not take bookings or payments through an online checkout on this website.

Our website is hosted and delivered using Cloudflare. Like other web hosts, Cloudflare may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser details, requested page and time of visit to deliver and protect the site. We do not use website analytics, advertising pixels or profiling in this version of the site. We may keep enquiry and booking correspondence for as long as we need to respond, provide the service and meet legal or accounting duties.

Our reasons for using information

We use enquiry details to take steps you ask us to take before a possible booking, and to provide an agreed service. We use necessary technical information to operate and protect the website, based on our legitimate interest in keeping it available and secure. Where a legal obligation applies, we use or retain information to meet it.

Who receives your information?

We receive the enquiries you choose to send. Cloudflare provides website hosting and delivery. If you open WhatsApp, Meta processes information under its own privacy notice. Email and telephone providers also handle communications you initiate. Links to Google Maps, Facebook and Instagram are ordinary external links; those services are contacted only if you choose to follow a link. Their own privacy terms then apply. These providers may process information in other countries under their own arrangements.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies, and the pages in this website do not contain embedded social feeds or an automatically loaded map. Our directions link opens Google Maps only when you select it. The website source does not intentionally set optional cookies or use browser storage. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary technical measures for security or reliable delivery; any such measures are controlled by the hosting configuration. We will update this notice if we add optional cookies or similar tracking technologies. Under UK rules, non-essential storage or access technologies generally need consent; strictly necessary technologies are treated differently. You can also manage cookies in your browser.

Because this version does not intentionally use optional cookies, it does not show an optional-cookie consent banner. If a future feature needs non-essential cookies, we will seek consent before that feature runs.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct or erase it, or ask us to restrict how we use it. Where the law gives you the right, you can object to use based on legitimate interests or ask for information in a portable format. To make a request, email sinead@powerquinnenglish.com. We will handle your request under the applicable UK data-protection rules. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

You can object to our use of your information when we rely on legitimate interests. We do not currently use profiling or automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Young people

Some of our English programmes are for young people. A parent or guardian should contact us and handle enquiries or arrangements for anyone under 18. This website does not create student accounts.
